I was awarded the 2019 Individual Artists Program Grant from the City of Chicago. I was happy to be awarded and I knew my vision and plan regarding how I was going to spend the award. My idea was to paint a huge Aztec style serpent and a Aztec style sun. What I had envisioned was for the community, public, people of all ages using spray paint to help and assist filling in, as well painting the huge symbols to the Aztecs. This mural was also featured in Block Club Chicago and in the book, “The Logan Square Book”.
